Who is best for this role?
The Perinatal Support Specialist will be a detailed, mostly self-directed and disciplined team member with a passion for birth equity, improving birth outcomes and supporting mothers during all perinatal stages. The purpose of this position is to ensure positive birth outcomes in the Akron and Cleveland community identified hotspots. This roles requires training with little to absences, some travel, and organization to insure time management and modeling for clients.
A secondary function is to insure the program can run efficiently and has the support of all Perinatal Support Person. PSP will be asked to understand office function and can carry out some day to day administrative activities effectively including data reporting and client encounter case notes required to sustain the organization.
This person will work with BBC administrative team to ensure successful operations of all Birthing Beautiful Communities functions. Some volunteering is expected to push the program forward.
